The European Investment Fund and Bpifrance have signed on February 1st a guarantee agreement – the first in France supported under the new Cultural and Creative Sectors Guarantee Facility from the EU’s Creative Europe programme

The European Union’s support allows Bpifrance to create a new financing product (Prêt Industries Créatives) which will target a portfolio of EUR 30 million of loans to companies over the next two years. More than 200 SMEs in the cultural and creative sectors (including film, theatre, video game production, music and performance, and editorial sectors) are expected to access this new programme which will be available in June this year. Innovative entrepreneurs have received loans in the amount of PLN 457 m thanks to guarantees granted by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (Poland). In the last year innovative entrepreneurs could receive free guarantees offered by BGK. More than PLN 250 m from the Guarantee Fund has enabled companies to raise financing from commercial banks in the amount of PLN 457 m. PLN 250 m funding came from the (untapped) funds from Innovative Economy Operational Programme. Read more

The European Investment Fund (EIF) and our Member Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) are doubling the size of their loans to Polish SMEs from PLN 1 billion to PLN 2 billion (ca. €500 million). The loans are expected to reach close to 10 600 small businesses and entrepreneurs across Poland. The agreement comes under the COSME programme, the European Commission’s programme for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and it is made possible by the support of the Investment Plan for Europe, or so-called “Juncker Plan”. La AECM cuenta con 42 organizaciones miembros activos en 26 Estados miembros de la UE, en Bosnia y Herzegovina, Serbia, Rusia y en Turquía.
Sus miembros son sociedades de garantía recíproca, otras sociedades privadas de garantía e instituciones públicas, tales como fondos de garantía y bancos de desarrollo con una división de garantía.
Tienen el objetivo común de otorgar garantías al crédito en beneficio de PYME que, aun disfrutando de una situación económica saneada, no cuentan con los avales necesarios para que los bancos les concedan financiación.
En 2013, las organizaciones miembros de la AECM disponían de un volumen total de garantías en cartera de más que 76.000 millones de euros y concedieron nuevas garantías por un total de más que 25.000 millones de euros.
